Adding a secondary or affiliated program for Program Owners

This article outlines the process for Program Owners to add a secondary linked program to your Cheercast program account, which will allow your athletes and supporters to link their accounts with this secondary program, so they can access routine videos and content from both programs, all from the one account.

Prerequisites for adding a secondary program

You should have the permission of the secondary program, you will need to provide the linking password to complete this process.
The program you want to add must already have their own program account on Cheercast, if they don’t have this yet, they will need to register first before you can add them as your secondary program.

How to add a secondary program

Click here to login and go to the Manage Program page
Scroll down to the option titled ‘Allow your athletes to link with a secondary program’ and select ‘Yes’.
In the drop-down box, find the program you want to add as a secondary program. Note that only programs in the same state as you and that have registered their own program account will show in this drop-down.
Enter the linking password for the secondary program, confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions and then click the ‘Update program’ button.
You will receive an email confirming the update as will the owner of the secondary program.

Frequently asked questions about this process

Does the owner of the secondary program have to approve my request to add them?

No, at this stage it is only required that you know the linking password of the secondary program. This is to speed up the process so that your athletes and supporters are able to access their routines from the secondary program as quickly as possible.

Do my users still need the linking password for the secondary program?

Yes, the process for your athletes and supporters to link with your secondary program is the same, they will need to provide the linking password, which we recommend comes from the owner or coach of the secondary program, rather than you, because they should always have the final say on who knows their linking password.

Can the secondary program owner remove my link to their club?

Yes, at any time the owner of the secondary program can contact us to request the link between your programs be removed. When making this request, the secondary program owner can also request all existing users that are linked with both programs are removed from the secondary program.

Can I remove my club's link to the secondary program?

Yes, at any time you can visit the Manage Program page to remove the secondary program, note that this does not automatically remove any existing users that have already linked their account with the secondary program.

Why can't I see the routine videos and photos of the secondary program when I'm logged into my club account?

Currently, this process only allows USERS (i.e. not program accounts) who are linked with your program the ability to also link to the secondary program and access their routines and other content. If you want to access the routines of the secondary program, we recommend setting up a normal Cheercast account for this purpose.
